Performance can entertain us. It can also connect us, challenge us, and move us to act.

What We Do

Theatre & New Works

Agora presents contemporary plays, staged readings, and new works that explore the complexity of contemporary life and amplify voices historically underrepresented on stage.

Programming will include intimate staged readings, full productions, new-play development, artist conversations, and post-show discussions

Improv, Comedy & Storytelling

From stand-up and improv to personal storytelling, spoken word, open mics, and mixed-format performances, Agora creates accessible opportunities for established, emerging, and first-time performers.

We believe humor and storytelling can make difficult conversations more approachable while creating genuine human connection.

Performances for a Cause

Agora collaborates with nonprofits and community organizations to create performances that raise awareness, support important causes, and inspire audiences to take meaningful action.

Applied Improv

We take improv beyond the stage, using interactive exercises to strengthen communication, confidence, teamwork, adaptability, and connection.

Civic Dialogue & Community Partnerships

Performances are often the beginning of the conversation—not the end. Agora creates post-show discussions, community forums, artist conversations, and partnerships that connect artistic experiences to issues affecting our communities.
